What is the Heltec Vision Master E290?
The Heltec Vision Master E290 is the bigger brother of the E213, with a 2.9" e-ink display for more screen space. The board combines an ESP32-S3R8 processor with optional SX1262 LoRa module.
With a resolution of 296x128 pixels, the screen offers enough space for longer messages and detailed information. Like the E213, the display remains visible for 180 days without power.
A special feature is the compatibility with Raspberry Pi via the 2x20 pin header. This makes the board interesting for advanced projects where you want to use the Pi as the brain.

Detailed Description
The Vision Master E290 is designed for applications where you need more screen space than the E213 offers. With partial refresh, parts of the screen can be updated faster.
The Raspberry Pi compatibility opens interesting possibilities: you can use the Pi for complex logic while the E290 handles LoRa communication and energy-efficient display. Perfect for gateways or stationary nodes.
Note: Like the E213, the LoRa module is optional. Check when purchasing whether the variant with LoRa module is included for mesh network use.
