Important: 868 MHz for Europe
Always buy the 868 MHz version for use in Europe. The 915 MHz version (US) is not allowed in Europe.
What is the LilyGo T-Lora T3 V1?
The LilyGo T-Lora T3 V1 (also known as LoRa32 V1.6.1) is one of the original LoRa development boards from LilyGo. It combines an ESP32 processor with the SX1276 LoRa chip.
This board was a popular choice for Meshtastic projects for years. However, the older first-generation Semtech chip means firmware support is being phased out.
Important: Meshtastic no longer recommends this board for new purchases. Choose the newer T3 S3 with better specs and longer support.

Detailed Description
The T-Lora T3 V1 was one of the first affordable LoRa boards that became widely available for hobbyists. It has a proven track record and there is extensive documentation available.
The radio specifications are still respectable: 433/868/915 MHz frequencies, +20 dBm transmit power, -139 dBm receive sensitivity, and data rates from 0.018K to 37.5Kbps in LoRa mode.
If you already have a T-Lora T3 V1, you can still use it just fine. But for new purchases, the T3 S3 is a better investment due to the modern ESP32-S3 chip and SX1262 LoRa module.
